“Thin film” technology: the evolution in surfaces’ pre-treatment

Oxilan is the last innovative product, born from constant evolution of traditional zinc phosphate, passed through the Gardoflex, a chemically advanced phosphate (which can also be used on aluminum) up to current Oxsilan, characterized by the “thin film” technology, working at low temperature with environmentally sustainable metal sheet conversion. Suitable for multimetal components and free of heavy metals (nickel and boron) and from phosphates, is technology that allows considerable savings (for example, 2 million euro for a “green” coating line for car bodies, confirmed by the 500 lines green, which use Oxsilan worldwide). Companies look for continuous savings in process costs (water, energy, maintenance, “green” investments and so on). At the same time in institutions are born laws of limitations for chemistry and there is a strong growth in the industrial market of low specific weight materials, such as aluminium, zinc, magnesium and other. As a result, the technology of zinc phosphate is unlikely to cope with the changing market. The solution is certainly the Oxsilan technology.
