The Italian area is dotted with
small reality of “evolved craft" which hand down a wealth of knowledge and
skills, contaminated by the artistic sensibility (figs. 1 and 2),
characteristics that make you unique and much appreciated, even abroad, some
products where the manual component is high. By Ferretti and Ferretti, Tuscan
company located in Perignano, in the province of Pisa, the uniqueness of this
furniture captures at first sight: the link with the culture of the places and
with particular attention to the area is confirmed by the fact that, for
finishing both the visible parts and the interior, all coatings and paints used
are waterborne, a sustainable choice desired by the owner, Alessandro Ferretti
for health protection of workers and buyer. The main activity is the
manufacturing of bedrooms (beds, wardrobes, and drawer) oriented to a classic
style, which is evolving towards a style more "contemporary" (figs.
3, 4, 5, 6). Since ten years have been manufactured rooms for children and
teenagers, with a "romantic style" (fig. 7), with the possibility to
create endless combinations and customizations. The finish, in particular, is
enhanced by a manual operation, the decorations are hand painted (fig. 8), and
the quality is the result of a series of phases entirely customizable.
The link between cultural tradition and the technical ability of
Italian manufacturing, especially in interior design, it is often given. In
reality it is not always easy to get products with high quality level
maintaining in the meanwhile acceptable the cost s and, these days, there is
often the need to make compromises that wipe out years of work and research,
and also worrisome throwback. Concerning Ferretti e Ferretti company, there is
instead opposite choices: while maintaining a precious link with the tradition
of classic furniture, both from the constructive point of view and from the
style point of view, the research is focused on the need to renew without
changing completely its characteristics, using processes and products
sustainable and with high quality level.
