You do not need to make masterpiece, you must be a masterpiece

Let’s talk about coating as a process, and not as a simple layer of coat.
Our company, has a sensitivity that is always the attention to processes: we try to understand how design, which is “our guiding star”, which affects all projects, it may also affect the production aspect even if most part of the coating is carried out outside. As part of the finishes, the choice to use coats with low environmental impact is not a choice: the alternative is prehistory. But I think that there is the opportunity to seek new directions and new possibilities for the finish: it is true that in terms of sensory perception, the first thing you see is the shape, the colour, then you approach and touch, though I often wonder why the surface might not have the same role of the skin? And then also have some tactile or functional requirements of any other nature, for example, the sound absorption? Few years ago we thought about new concepts considering a systemic vision of the project, beyond the single product, starting off a concept of design that includes several collections of products for interior.

Design is between the market and the plant, it must meet the engineering of the product, the research and the development but also satisfy the consumer who needs emotions, and rationality. Our idea of design bring us to develop products that are meaningful for people but they could be produced industrially. We try to add a value between these two worlds. The basic module of our furniture becomes a brick with which each person can build his world (fig. 3), but in production it becomes a standard. The brick therefore has a flexibility that allows us to “feel” the needs of each individual person. I love design that knows how to listen everyone’s needs and that becomes a flexible tool in the hands of people. I believe in the uniqueness of the people, and so I believe in the uniqueness of the offers to the people, that means a design that includes humanity and not vice versa.
