At Catas we have long been carrying
out a profound reflection on the sector in which we have decided to operate,
the world of wood and furniture, to understand developments and new trends. It
is essential, then, to look ahead, for a long-term vision which will enable us
to enlighten this urgent present, that does not wait for anyone. And the
recent, painful and dramatic experience of the fire which hit one of the
laboratories of San Giovanni al Natisone made it all very real, strong,
dominant. We reacted, as it is in the people of our land. As for the
mechanical tests on the furniture we're already back to 70 percent of our activity,
while all our other laboratories continue apace, not having been touched by
the fire. We will not certainly leave it at that: we will continue in our normal
activities of testing and research, starting from test development on
playgrounds, raising awareness - in addition to the manufacturers - even to the
municipalities, with which we will organize a series of dedicated meetings. We
are already in the midst of the calendar’s courses and seminars, which we
organize, in a particularly rich year. The need is clear: our skills, and we
say it without fear of contradiction, allow us to offer high quality events. The
hallmark of Catas nowadays is the ability to run the indispensable passage from
a "product information" to an articulated formation process on
relationship between products and people. In this we really trust.
